🦁🏈🔥 The Granger Sub-varsity Teams rocked the Lions Den tonight in amazing fashion versus the visiting Hornets of Holland. Lane Franke scored on a 70 yard rush to start the night. Brodie Fudge, Cohen Repa, and a host of Lions would add to the fast start while while the 7th grade would end the night in a tie. Our 8th grade boys followed suit, and pressed on late in the 4th quarter with a dominating performance. Nicholas Blane, Trae Castillo, Noah Hobratsch, and a host of the 8th grade Lions would rush fearlessly throughout the evening! The 8th grade team would finish the night with a 32-22 win! The JV football team would find success on the ground and in the air, as they finished off the evening with a 21-13 win! Dayton Knippa, Wyatt Rochner, and Celistino Flores led the Lions ground attack, while a late 4th quarter interception by Caden Carpenter would cap off the contest for the Lions! #GJHSFootball #GJVFootball #WeFightTogether #LionPride

💜🏐 They Granger JH Lady Lions volleyball teams hosted Thorndale tonight. All 3 teams were in action with the mixed team loosing in 2 sets. Kannin Kitchens & Chloe Cabelo were power houses with their serving. The 7th Grade A team won in 3 sets. Baylee Carey & Evelyn Wright made multiple aces as the team played scrappy & unified. The 8th Grade A team lost in 2 sets. Kendall Welles & Aubrie Gourbec had multiple service points. All teams are improving their skills & knowledge of the game and are exciting to watch! #GJHSVolleyball #WeFightTogether

Dr. Ortiz most recently completed his doctoral degree from Texas Tech in Music. While he has been a professional orchestra conductor, his students are a little different these days. We love having him and his positive spirit in Granger, sharing his love of music with our kids.

The Lions den was host tonight to Marlin. JV A had a solid 2 set victory and varsity had a solid 3 set victory. All 3 teams will be back in action at St.Dominic Savio in Austin on Saturday beginning at 10 am.

Both JV volleyball teams were in action today at the Holland tournament. JV B went 2-2 on the day placing 4th. JV A also went 2-2 on the day placing 4th. These young ladies continue to work hard and improve weekly.

What a day!! First junior high meet in the books and I couldn't be more proud. Landon placed 8th out of 148 runners and got a medal!! 🏅Junior High athlete Kendall placed 35 of 219 runners. High school Eva broke a 14 running a 13:56. AD shaved a minute off his time this week.

Your Granger Junior Varsity Lions come up short tonight with a 12-28 final to the Bulldogs of Thorndale! The Lions struck first but failed to maintain the lead going into the half as Thorndale took a 6-14 lead into the halftime locker room. A TD catch from QB, Wyatt Rochner to WR, Kye Welles closed the lead to 12-20 late in the 4th but the Lions could never get closer. JV will be back in action next Thursday at 7:30 PM! #GJHSFootball #WeFightTogether

The Lady Lions volleyball teams hosted Florence tonight. JV B started the night off with a 2 set loss. JV A got the 2 set victory followed by varsity sealing off the night with a 3 set victory. Both JV teams will be in action at the Holland tournament this Saturday.

The Junior High volleyball team traveled to Holland Monday for their 2nd game of the season. All 3 teams fell short of a win but played with a fighting Lion heart. They have been putting in work & have improved so much. They all had great team work & fought hard to the end. Their next game is Thursday September 7th in Granger playing against Thorndale.

Varsity volleyball took down Bartlett and NE Early Prep College in 2 sets each at the Rockdale tournament today. Catch day two of the tournament on Saturday. Game times TBD.

Lady Lion varsity volleyball finished the Rockdale tournament today going 1-2. The girls lost to Taylor, beat Meridian, and lost to Mumford. Catch the teams back in action next week vs Florence on Thursday at home. 3 teams will be playing beginning at 5 pm.
