Earlier today, the Granger High School Band traveled to Bastrop to compete in their UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation. We are proud to share that they earned first-division ratings from all six judges! Because of their exceptional performance today, combined with their outstanding performances during the fall marching band season, they have earned the coveted “Sweepstakes” award from UIL (shown in the picture below).

This marks the second consecutive year that the high school band has earned the “Sweepstakes” award, receiving first-division ratings from every single judge across both the marching and concert band seasons. It is also the third time in school history that the band has achieved this honor. We are incredibly proud of our students and excited to see the continued positive momentum of the program.

Please join us in congratulating the band members on this outstanding accomplishment!

Check out what our Graphic Design classes have been working on!

They recently entered a contest through the “STREETS ART SAFE” program, an initiative that educates high school students about traffic safety through the arts—film, posters, and visual storytelling.

After collaborating and sharing ideas, our students selected the powerful slogan “Eyes Up, Lives On” to raise awareness about distracted driving. We’re proud to share their finished poster and the meaningful message behind it!

The Granger Lady Lions softball team hit the road tonight for their first district matchup of the season, traveling to Rosebud-Lott ready to compete — and they came home victorious! The Lady Lions opened district play 1-0 with an impressive 22–12 win. Kayla Weaver crushed her first home run, the defense locked in with two big double plays, and the bats stayed hot all night with 19 total hits. Last night was a night we will never forget at Granger ISD!

We are beyond proud to share that we successfully hosted the very first track meet in the history of Granger ISD — and it would not have been possible without an incredible team effort.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing faculty and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and stepped in wherever needed. Your flexibility, positivity, and commitment to our students truly made the difference.

To every volunteer who gave their time — running events, working gates, helping with setting up, cleaning up, and everything in between — we are so grateful. Your willingness to serve is what makes this community so special.

And to our outstanding Booster Club — thank you for your leadership, organization, and constant support of our athletes and programs. We simply could not do this without you.

Hosting our first meet was a huge milestone for Granger ISD Track & Field, and because of all of you, it was a tremendous success. Our athletes felt supported, our guests felt welcomed, and our community showed up in a big way.

This is just the beginning. 💙🖤
