JH Lady Lion volleyball teams played the McDade Bulldogs tonight in round one of district play. The 7th grade team dominated the court with a win and the 8th grade team fought hard for every point but came up short. Catch them in action in the Lions Den on Thursday, 9/4, as they take on the Thorndale Bulldogs.

Lady Lions Volleyball put in work today at the Rockdale Tourney beating Smithville and Salado JV to go to the championship game. The lady Lions took 2nd place, losing to Navasota in the championship game. Back on the road Tuesday at Rogers.

The Granger High School Cross Country teams competed this morning in the Thrall XC Relays. Each morning these kids get up and work to beat their own times and it showed this weekend! Congratulations to all of our runners on a great weekend!

Tonight our JH Lady Lion volleyball team took on the Bartlett Lassies in their first match of the season. The 7th grade team squeezed out a win in three sets. Our 8th grade team fought hard in all three sets, but ultimately came up short. Our JH teams are back in action on Monday, 8/25, as they take on McDade Bulldogs.

Lions, the JV football scrimmage has been cancelled due to weather. The players are headed back to the field house on the bus. Parents, you can pick them up as soon as they return.

Just a reminder, Fridays mean early dismissal at 3:00 PM!

Varsity Volleyball had a great day of pool play today. Winning all 3 games against Milano, Rockdale and Florence. Tourney continues on Saturday in Rockdale
