The Jr High Lady Lions played 2 hard fought games tonight. The inner squad scrimmage was a great contest that showcased the girls improved talents and skill. The second game the girls dominated McDade with a 40 point deficit working as a team and playing for each other.

GISD was represented in the Williamson County Youth Fair by MANY MANY students across 4-H, FFA and stand-alone contestants. 💙✨All students did very well, and we are so proud of them!!! The varsity and JV boys wrapped up the Moody tournament today. The JV boys battled, but dropped their 2 games today, to finish the tournament 1-3. The varsity boys started off the morning, with a close game that was eventually won at the buzzer against Lorena JV to get the win 34-33, and followed that game up with a 64-38 win over Dawson, which put them at a 3-1 record for the tournament. Both JV and Varsity will be back in action on Tuesday @ Snook for their last non-district game.

The girls defeated Bruceville-Eddy 68-23, going 2-1 in pool play.
They will play tomorrow at 2:00pm (opponent TBD).

Lady Lions Varsity Basketball goes 1-1 in the first day of the Waco Valor Tournament 🏀🦁
Granger started the day with the highest scoring game in the last 15 years, defeating Prince of Peace 79-34 🔥
Despite fighting hard, the girls fell short to Aquilla in their second game, 37-44
They will be taking on Bruceville-Eddy tomorrow at 12:30pm to wrap up pool play.

Th e JV and Varsity boys completed day 1 of the Moody Tournament today. The JV went 1-1 an earned a 2 seed in their pool. The varsity started off the day with a 52-35 win over Riesel, then dropped a hard fought game against Bosqueville 60-48 to also go 1-1 on the day. Both teams are back in action tomorrow, with the Varsity playing at 8:30 and 3:10, and the JV playing at 9:40 and 4:40.
