October is Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Month, and we're joining the fight to spread knowledge and protect our communities. Fentanyl is a powerful and dangerous drug, and awareness is key in preventing its devastating consequences. Every week we will post a fact or information about fentanyl on social media. Grades 6-12th will learn about opioids especially fentanyl during the month.
The Junior High Girls dominated the competition, earning the title of 2025 District Champions! Their dedication and hard work truly paid off. The Junior High Boys put up an incredible fight, finishing in 2nd place—just 5 points shy of first! Their determination and effort have shone through at every meet this season. The entire Junior High Cross Country program has so much to be proud of—what an outstanding year for these athletes! We are beyond thankful for our two incredible principals! Both of these strong women spend countless hours on campus, leading with heart, supporting their staff, cheering on students, & staying active in the community, all while juggling the busy life of being moms themselves.
Being a principal isn’t an easy job, and it’s certainly not for the faint of heart. It’s a true calling—a calling of service, leadership, & love for kids. These ladies go above & beyond every single day, and our schools are better because of them.

In recognition of Custodial Staff appreciation week we would like to express our greatest appreciation to, Mrs. Teresa Rodriguez. Mrs. Teresa is completing her 4th year with Granger ISD. When asked what is her favorite thing about working at Granger ISD Teresa said. "Working closer to home is my favorite thing." Mrs. Rodriguez also shared the following, "I love the school and transitioning my daughter to this school was the best." This week’s Pep Rally will be held Friday, October 3, at 1:41 PM on the football field at 301 N. Colorado. We will be spotlighting our Marching Band as they perform their show in full uniform, as well as our Cross Country Team as they prepare to run at district on Monday. As in previous weeks, if you plan on attending, please complete this form: Pep Rally Check In Form Pre-printed visitor badges will be ready Thursday afternoon for anyone who has already scanned their valid Texas driver’s license into our Raptor System for the 2025–2026 school year. Badges may be picked up 15 minutes prior to the pep rally at the event location. If you have not yet had your license scanned at a GISD office this school year, please do so before the pep rally. Offices are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and on Friday morning before the pep rally. After the school day ends on Thursday, the online form will no longer be monitored. At that point, visitors will need to check in at any campus office. Thank you for helping us keep GISD safe for all!
