Friday, April 11: FFA closed out their CDE Invitational season at the Leon County Fair with the Livestock Judging Team. We were so excited and fortunate to be able to take a busload of students from 5th grade all the way to 11th grade! The future of Granger ISD and the Ag Program is bright!

The 2025 FFA Area Livestock Judging Team: Nick H, Colt H, Chloe D and Kenedy G. All season long, we take 4-8 FFA HS students to compete at each contest. When Area rolls around, we pick the top 4 team members who have consistently been scoring at the top all season. The Area contest determines who goes to the State contest and how we rank among eachother in each District. Unfortunately our FFA CDE season came to a close today. Congratulations to these students on another season of growth! So excited for the next! ⭐️Today’s top Granger Judger: 1. Colt H - 65th/138

This year, Field Day will include Pre-K through 6th grade, and we’d love to provide Kona Ice for all the students! Unfortunately, we’re unable to cover the entire cost on our own. Any donations—big or small—would be greatly appreciated. If you’d like to donate, please send it with your student or drop it off at the elementary office. Thank you for helping us make Field Day extra special!

Yesterday the boys track team traveled to Flatonia for the area track meet. Our boys fought hard. We have 3 boys that finished in the top 4 to advance to the regional track meet: Caleb Tucker was 2nd in the 800m Kye Welles was 3rd in the 3200m Ryder Bice was 4th in the discus Here are others that placed: Landon Hernandez was 6th in the 3200 Isaac Campos was 5th in the 800 Tre Castillo was 5th in the 110m hurdles Caleb Tucker was 5th in the 400m Noah Hobratsch was 5th in the 300m hurdles Wyatt Sanchez was 6th in the 200 Caleb Tucker was 5th in the high jump Noah Hobratsch was 6th in the high jump Please join me in congratulating these young men on a great season and good luck at the regional meet to our qualifiers.

Big shout out to our awesome secondary counselor, OnRamps math and reading teachers, and our Temple College rep! They provided valuable information about course selections, graduation requirements, and advanced academic opportunities, including OnRamps and dual credit. Thanks for helping our Lions plan for success!

These Lady Lions competed at the Area Track Meet today in Flatonia & showed up ready to run (& jump)!! 🏃‍♀️🔥 We had 8 girls in 4 events advance to the Regional Track Meet! High Jump - 4th Place Alexi Montagnino 800M Run - 1st Place Eva Ramirez 100M Hurdles - 1st Place Marissa Hall 4x400 Relay - 4th Place Kendall Welles, Natalie Corona, Carli Cadena, Brooklyn Gaswint, & Kamryn Rogers We also want to shout out Aubrie Gorubec and Skyla Thorsen; two freshmen who also competed hard today! We are so proud of the work you girls did this year and know you'll have success in the years to come, too! 🦁 The Regional Meet will be held in Kingsville April 18th-19th. #WeComing

Congratulations to our cast and crew of Lily Daw and the Three Ladies for a wonderful OAP Season! We didn't advance out of Bi-District but had 3 individual honors! Connor Vanek received the Outstanding Honor Tech Crew Award, Maika Irisawa was recognized for Honorable Mention All-Star Cast, and Alexi Montagnino was chosen for All-Star Cast. Congratulations to everyone but especially to our Seniors, Leeah Malone (Lily Daw), Emma Corona ( Mrs. Benson), Alizea Lopez (Crew - Stage Manager)

This past week, the Granger High School Band traveled to Bastrop to participate in the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation—and came home with some historic results! Our band earned First Division ratings from all six judges, making this the first time in Granger history that we’ve received straight 1’s from every judge at UIL. Even more exciting, thanks to their outstanding performance during the fall marching season (where they also received all First Division ratings) they have now earned the prestigious UIL Sweepstakes Award, which recognizes the program's commitment to excellence throughout the entire year. We’re incredibly proud of our students and all the hard work they’ve put in to achieve this level of success. This is a huge moment for our band program and our school. Please help us celebrate this amazing accomplishment!

Lion Baseball lose two tonight. Varsity back in action Friday in Bremond at 6:00.

The Lady Lions fought through 7 tonight against the Thorndale bulldogs. Although they came up short losing 0-2, the heart and effort these girls showed was outstanding! As we get back to work, their next game is Saturday at Bremond! #GOLIONS
