Welcome back Lions! We are looking forward to seeing you all at our Elementary meet the teacher and our Middle School and High School Open House on August 12th, 5:30-6:30. Elementary students may bring their school supplies to meet the teacher, and secondary students will pick up schedules and tour the school to locate classrooms and meet the teachers. If you haven't registered yet, please register online or come by the school and let us help you get your students registered for the 24-25 school year!

Last day of workouts for the summer and the Granger Lady Lions put in work all summer long. This summer the minimum attendance was 10 athletes the average was 15 athletes and we had a record high of 28 athletes attend!! We cannot wait to see what the Lady Lions do this year!!

I wanted to share some construction updates. There most certainly have been some delays in construction with the high school. While rain in a farming community is a true blessing, the excessive amount of rain we have received here this year has created construction delays. At this time we still anticipate beginning the 2025-2026 school year in our new facility, but we will be cutting it very close.
We already have a guaranteed maximum price for our High School so even with delays, it does not add any additional cost to the project.
The Granger School Board last week adopted the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the new Athletic Complex. The Board Adopted a Guaranteed Maximum Price of $14,385,091. What that means is the cost could be less, but it cannot be more than that amount.
We are super excited about the new athletic complex. I often get asked if the fields will be turfed, and I can now answer that question. The answer is yes. All fields will be turfed. We anticipate the facility to begin construction around September 1st with a completion in early August of 2025. The new athletic facility will feature a synthetic turf football field and stadium with home and visitor seating, restrooms, and concession stands. The complex will also include an 8-lane track, as well as long jump/triple jump, high jump, pole vault pit, and discus/shot-put cage. There will be a field house, with restrooms, locker rooms, a meeting room, and an umpire/referee changing room. There will also be a synthetic turf baseball field and a synthetic turf softball field. The board will be deciding between an all purple track or a grey track with purple and possibly gold lanes. Stay tuned!

The Williamson County Sheriff's Department, Granger Police Department, and surrounding local police departments are holding an ALERT training on campus Thursday, July 24th, and Friday, July 25th. There will be several officers on campus and in the area during these two days. During this time they will be participating in simulations that produce "gun fire like sounds" and active training in the upstairs of our main school building. This is a state-mandated simulation training and Granger ISD is happy to provide Williamson County and surrounding police departments the opportunity to train in the protection of our students. #SafetyFirst
Granger ISD is proud to announce that through the help of Granger ISD Child Nutrition Director, Marlana Sustaita and the National School Lunch Programs equipment assistant grant, Granger ISD was able to purchase a new range and dish washer for the cafeteria kitchen!
Attention all parents: Granger Lions Youth Football camp is being postponed due to weather. The camp will be held Monday July 29th through Wednesday July 31st! We look forward to seeing our little Lions on Monday!
