Our cross country team got after it this morning. They reached the goals I've set for them!! #Golions #XC2023
Dr. Ortiz most recently completed his doctoral degree from Texas Tech in Music. While he has been a professional orchestra conductor, his students are a little different these days. We love having him and his positive spirit in Granger, sharing his love of music with our kids.
The Lions den was host tonight to Marlin. JV A had a solid 2 set victory and varsity had a solid 3 set victory. All 3 teams will be back in action at St.Dominic Savio in Austin on Saturday beginning at 10 am.

Both JV volleyball teams were in action today at the Holland tournament. JV B went 2-2 on the day placing 4th. JV A also went 2-2 on the day placing 4th. These young ladies continue to work hard and improve weekly.
What a day!! First junior high meet in the books and I couldn't be more proud. Landon placed 8th out of 148 runners and got a medal!! 🏅Junior High athlete Kendall placed 35 of 219 runners. High school Eva broke a 14 running a 13:56. AD shaved a minute off his time this week.
🔥🦁🏈🎗️💜The Lions roll in Thorndale tonight with a huge win, 38-7. Granger racks up over 350 yards on offense while holding the Bulldogs to just 193 yards of total offense. Granger moves to 2-0 & will travel to Holland next week for a must watch! #GHSFootball #WeFightTogether

Your Granger Junior Varsity Lions come up short tonight with a 12-28 final to the Bulldogs of Thorndale! The Lions struck first but failed to maintain the lead going into the half as Thorndale took a 6-14 lead into the halftime locker room. A TD catch from QB, Wyatt Rochner to WR, Kye Welles closed the lead to 12-20 late in the 4th but the Lions could never get closer. JV will be back in action next Thursday at 7:30 PM!

The Lady Lions volleyball teams hosted Florence tonight. JV B started the night off with a 2 set loss. JV A got the 2 set victory followed by varsity sealing off the night with a 3 set victory. Both JV teams will be in action at the Holland tournament this Saturday.
The Junior High volleyball team traveled to Holland Monday for their 2nd game of the season. All 3 teams fell short of a win but played with a fighting Lion heart. They have been putting in work & have improved so much. They all had great team work & fought hard to the end. Their next game is Thursday September 7th in Granger playing against Thorndale.

Varsity volleyball took down Bartlett and NE Early Prep College in 2 sets each at the Rockdale tournament today. Catch day two of the tournament on Saturday. Game times TBD.
Lady Lion varsity volleyball finished the Rockdale tournament today going 1-2. The girls lost to Taylor, beat Meridian, and lost to Mumford. Catch the teams back in action next week vs Florence on Thursday at home. 3 teams will be playing beginning at 5 pm.

This coming Friday we will be joining the Thorndale Bulldogs to Gold out Bulldog stadium in support of Childhood Cancer. Limited T-Shirt sizes will be available for pickup beginning Monday, August 28th, in the HS/Elementary offices. Cash/check, and Venmo will be accepted and a receipt of payment to the Venmo link below must be shown to receive your shirt. Let's beat the Bulldogs on Friday Night on the scoreboard, but also by showing our overwhelming support of Childhood Cancer Awareness! Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM at Bulldog Stadium!
