Today Granger ISD was honored to be recognized by the Assistance League of Georgetown Area for the impact of their Assist-A-Teacher grant program.
These grants , up to $1,000 per request, directly support classroom learning by funding instructional materials, reading intervention supports, PE equipment, safety supplies, classroom consumables, and student learning experiences such as educational trips. Altogether, $18,000 was provided to benefit students in Granger ISD and Florence ISD.
Mrs. Erin Lawrence, Mrs. Shirocky, Dr. Thorsen, and Mr. Holubec attended to share appreciation and highlight how meaningful this support is for our rural students. As a thank-you, students created a handmade plaque using materials funded through the program; a great example of the impact coming full circle.
We are grateful for community partners who continue investing in opportunities for our students. 💜💛 #GrangerISD #CommunitySupport #StudentOpportunities
