GRANGER ISD HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL 2020

Posted Date: 05/28/2020

The following scenarios will be used for determining students that will be required to attend summer school:

  • Students that did NO work during the 4th nine-weeks.

These students will receive an “I” for incomplete and will be required to complete online coursework to earn credit for the 4th nine-weeks grading period.

  • Students that did not earn credit (final grade below 70) for a course that is associated with an End-Of-Course (EOC) assessment.

If a student is currently taking Algebra 1, English 1, Biology, English 2, or US History and earns credit for the class on or before June 25th, they will be exempt from the associated EOC requirement for graduation.

If a student did not complete the necessary work to earn credit for all of their courses when official report card grades are released next week, then the student and/or parent will be notified if they are required to attend summer school.

GISD Summer School will be completed in an online credit recovery format. It will start on Monday, June 1st, 2020 and the last day will be Thursday, June 25th, 2020. Students have until June 25th to complete their assigned work and earn credit for each class. Failure to earn credit before June 25th means students will need to retake the course next year.
