BCIS Syllabus

Rules:

  1. No food or drink in the classroom. This is to protect the integrity and condition of the computers.
  2. Respect others.
  3.  Respect property.
  4.  Once you enter the room you may not leave without permission until the dismissal bell.
  5.  Complete all assignments.

Discipline Policy:

  1. Three strikes, you’re out!
  2. First time: warning
  3. Second time: detention (morning, 20 minutes before the first bell)
  4. Third time: principal’s office

Grading Policy:

I do not give grades…you earn them! Everyone starts with a 100. Whether or not you keep it is up to you.

            Daily Grades                50%

            Quizzes                        20%

            Tests                            30%

The objectives of this course are:

  • To develop mastery-level information-age keyboarding, formatting, and processing knowledges and skills.
  • To develop decision-making skills, time management skills, language-arts/communications skills, and positive work attitudes.
  • To familiarize learners with critical information-age office procedures, terminologies and technologies.
