What is Granger ACE ?
FREE
Granger ACE is an FREE After-school Center for Education program provided by a 21st Century CCLC Grant. Granger ISD applied for the grant in 2009 and it was awarded to provided the students and parents of Granger ISD with 21st Century Educational opportunities. ACE meets Monday- Friday from 7am-8am and 400pm-6:30pm, Saturdays from 8:00am-10am. Our program opened its doors for the first time September 8, 2009. We currently have 111 students enrolled in the program. Adult education classes will begin soon. Classes currently being planned are Welding, Spanish to English, English to Spanish. Other classes may be offered if eligible adults indicate a need or want. Our program employs 3 team members, and 3-5 teachers daily. Johnnie Thornton is the Director, Jimmy Birch is the Site Coordinator.

Who qualifies for ACE ?
Granger ACE is open for any student of Granger ISD. Adults are accepted if they are residents in the Granger school district.
What happens at ACE ?
Granger ACE offers the following program to students,
- Homework help daily.
- Snack
- Enrichment Activity's not limited to:
- Computer Education
- Science Clubs
- Cooking Classes
- Crocheting
- Theater Arts
- Game Design
- Reading Clubs
- Music
- Art
- Girls Scouts
- Adult Classes offered (Parents of Granger ISD students):
- Spanish/English Language classes using Rosetta Stone (Monday)
- Welding (Monday- Thursday)
- Aerobics (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- and more too come.
- Transportation is provided for out of town and hazard address students.
