Welcome to the Granger ISD Library!

Open: 7:30 - 4:00 Monday - Friday

 

   Book 2

 

Polices & Procedures

Check Out Limits: 

Pre-K - 1st grade may check out one book.

2nd - 3rd grade may check out two books.

4th - 12th may check out three books.

Renewals are allowed unless the book is reserved, new, or a Bluebonnet book.

Parents are welcome to visit the library and they may  also check out three books.

All books are due in two weeks. Overdue books are to be returned before additional books can be checked out.

Late fees are not charged, but students will pay for lost or badly damaged books. Refunds are given for items found and returned within a school year.

*Students checking out calculators are responsible for them! Calculators are not to be turned in, checked out, or borrowed by anyone other than the student who has been issued the calculator.  A lost or damaged calculator fee will be charged.

Albert Castaneda for donating new books which are a wonderful addition to updating the library. 

Granger National Bank for donating a subscription to Texas Monthly for the library.

City Lights Theater in Georgetown for donating movie passes which were used as prizes during Teen Read Week.

To the Granger High School Class of 1980 for donating fifteen wonderful books in  the memory of fellow classmate Kathy Newsom. 

Donations for the book sale: Jean Meador, Jerry & Donna Griffis, Tami Cooper, Karen Horak, Victoria Corona, Michelle Smitley, Kay McNeil, Linda Huebner, Heather Laurence, and Sandi Dunn.

To Granger High School Class of 1951 for the beautiful stone bookends and thirteen excellent books in the memory of Joye Davidson Gold.

 

Birthday Book Club Fundraiser

Looking for a special way to celebrate someone's birthday, get something for someone who already has everything, and help build your school's library? Join the club! What membership includes:

*The birthday person will choose a book from a book list or from the birthday book shelf.

*The person's name, birthday, and who made the donation will be placed on a sticker inside the book.

*If the person is a student, the student will be first to check out the book, along with having their picture taken and displayed on the bulletin board in front of the library.

*Summer birthday's may consider a half-birthday or celebrating in May.

*Order forms can be found in the library. The donation is $15 and can be paid in cash or with a check made out to the GISD Library.

Storyteller Bernadette Nason visited Granger Elementary, bringing a sense of wonder and mystery with her spine tingling tales. 

 

Author Laura Contreras-Rowe gave a motivational book talk to the Jr. High and High school students, donating and signing several books to students and one to the library. Evelina Solis, who is featured in Laura's book "Aim High: Extraordinary Stories of Hispanic and Latina Women", was also present to sign the books.
