MINUTES OF MAY 19, 2008, SPECIAL CALLED BOARD MEETING
The meeting was called to order by board president Timmy Tidwell at 6:30 P.M. Persons present were Interim Supt. Steve White, board members Timmy Tidwell, Lillie Huf, James Cervenka, Tommy Filla, Debra Cavanaugh, and newly elected board member Daryl Repa. Shawn Newsom was absent.
Also in attendance was school secretary Margaret Vrana.
Before the Discussion and action took place, Daryl Repa was SWORN IN AND TOOK THE OATH OF OFFICE which was administered by school secretary Margaret Vrana.
III. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON:
- EMPLOYMENT OF STEVE WHITE AS SUPERINTENDENT: Lillie Huf made a motion with a second made by Debra Cavanaugh to employ Steve White as Superintendent of Granger ISD. Mr White requested a one year contract. Unanimous vote.
- REVIEW OF PAINT BIDS FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND CAFETERIA BUILDINGS: The board reviewed the bids that were received but they requested the superintendent to have it advertised in the CLASSIFIED AD SECTION of the Temple Daily Telegram and the Georgetown Newspaper to receive more bids.
Lillie Huf made a motion with a second by Daryl Repa to adjourn at 6:46 P.M.
Unanimous vote.
