NHS Standards

The question is often asked, "How Do I Get Into NHS?"  First, the student must qualify academically with a 90 or above overall GPA.  Secondly, the student is given a qualification letter and application.  The application requires students to fill out information on:  Cocurricular Activities and Accomplishments, Leadership Positions, Service Activities, Other Community Activities, and Work Experience, Recognition & Awards.  Applications must be complete and signed by student and parents in order to be considered for induction.  Next, teachers evaluate each student based on Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.  The average teacher evaluation score must range from 12 to 16.  The faculty council then reviews the applications and teacher evaluations to make the final selection.  For more information , click on the following link, NHS Constitution (14 page download).
