Posted Date: 10/26/2017

This past summer, the Granger ISD old gym went from cold, dark and uninviting to bright and welcoming. The gym was given a makeover by volunteers who selflessly gave of their time and hard work to make the old gym a much happier place. The Granger ISD School Board recognized the hard work of the these volunteers at the Oct. 11, 2017 meeting.

Led by Coach Brock Miller and his wife Careta and children Kiara, Travis and Clarissa, the volunteers, scraped and painted well into the school year to improve the facility tremendously. The volunteers included Casey Bice (special thanks to Casey for the amazing lion painting on the score table and the script above the lobby doors), Jeanette, Lucas and Kendall Welles, Kelli, Michael and Krista Hutka, Cindy and Colter Gaswint, Tommy, Dawn and Caleb Filla, Trey and Evan Youngblood, Marcus Martinez, Dustin Finch and Coach Jennifer Fudge.

Check the 360 degree video of the gym and the pictures of the volunteers receiving certificates of recognition from the school board.
